MOGWAI ZERO ZERO ZERO

ZEROZEROZERO

FROM BANDCAMP :Mogwai release this new soundtrack, ZeroZeroZero, available for one week exclusively on a pay-what-you-can basis with half of proceeds going to Help Musicians and NHS charities.
ZeroZeroZero is the acclaimed series produced by Cattleya — producers of the hit Gomorrah the Series and part of ITV Studios — with Bartlebyfilm for Sky, Canal+, Amazon Prime Video and STUDIOCANAL TV. The first season is currently available in numerous territories, including Italy, Germany and Austria (Sky), France (Canal+) and the US, Spain and Latin America (Amazon Prime Video), and will soon be available in the UK and Ireland on Sky. It was created by Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Gomorrah), with Leonardo Fasoli and Mauricio Katz, and was shot on three continents and in six languages.
It stars Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, The Death of Stalin), Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) and the Golden Globe-winning and multiple Emmy and Tony nominated Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects, Stigmata), and is directed by Stefano Sollima, Janus Metz and Pablo Trapero.
Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite: “Most of our 2019 was spent scoring ZeroZeroZero and we’re really happy for people to hear the soundtrack album. It was a great project to be involved with and we’re really pleased with how both the show and the music turned out. Like everyone else, we are isolating at home so the mixing of the record was all done remotely with Tony Doogan. With this release we’re hoping to raise money for Help Musicians and NHS charities via the release on Bandcamp. We know that a lot of people working in music have seen earnings disappear and that those working for the NHS are experiencing horrendous pressures dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic. By donating half of what we make in the first week, we hope to do something to help those in need. We’re also aware that everyone has been affected financially and because of that we have made the record available on a pay-what-you-can basis.” M A K E Y O U R O F F E R

THE THING [2018] Vinyl 2LP Soundtrack Music By Ennio Morricone – Alan Howarth – Larry Hopkins

THE THING[Buysoundtrax]

A NOTE FROM ALAN HOWARTH : The final score as it is heard in the film is actually an amalgamation of Morricone’s original orchestral music, his subsequent electronic material (the pulsating “Thing Theme”), and the droning ambiences created by Howarth and Carpenter. “Other than that one session I really didn’t have that much involvement with it,” said Howarth. “I just helped John make those cues, and then it was really up to John to sit down and cut all that stuff in and say I want it here and I want it there.” Click on the image below for buy the double vinyl

REVIEW :SOUND QUALITY 5/5 ARTWORK AND PACKAGING 2.5/5

MY FAVS/Best Tracks:

SIDE ONE 01.Main Title 02 Despair

SIDE TWO Humanity 03 Burn It 04 Solitude

SIDE THREE 01 Fucks – 02 To Mac’s Shack*

SIDE FOUR 01 Eternity 02 Contamination 03 Bestiality

In my view COMPARING THAT RECORDINGS to the previous material from original MCA Album I WOULD LIKE TO  SAY the pulsating TRACK“Thing Theme” Here available and named AT SIDE 1 TRACK 2 MAIN THEME – DESOLATION – TRACK 3 HUMANITY II [Originally IS JUST HUMANITY II TRACK 8 OF MCA’s CD]  is a little bit different AT FIRST HEARING AND IT could not be so great on SOUND DESIGN MATTER,SPECIALLY electronic beats.. but THE OTHER TRACKS have something of good and SEEMS BE improved in to orchestral arrangements, this KIND OF feature IS reflected in every orchestral part of this new edition.Instead The electronic droning ambiences tracks created by Alan Howarth and John Carpenter are amazing, powerful, deafening and ARE the real core of the SENSE OF DREAD AND TERROR OF THE movie as we heard in THEATERS IN TO 1982 ,so in my part this LP is a must have.THE RIGHT THING SHOULD BE HAVE THIS JC/HOWARTH’S COMPOSITION WITH THE ORIGINAL MORRICONE CUES.

THE KEEP SHOWDOWN END TITLE WITH M83 I’m Sending You Away

John Carpenter’s Christine soundtrack is being reissued on vinyl for the first time

John Carpenter’s 1989 cult car horror score is being reissued on vinyl for the first time.

TAKEN FROM THE VINYL FACTORY LIMITED GB : Originally released by Varèse Sarabande (VS-5240) , followed by a second Motown version that same year, ‎Carpenter created the haunted moto-synthscapes for Christine with frequent collaborator Alan Howarth.

My contact on Varèse confirm : “Cats out of the bag, yep that’s us! We have commissioned new art and I must say it looks FANTASTIC! We’ll be announcing this on our Twitter and Facebook page WITH the new art on August 16th, join us then Fabio and SPREAD the word on this cool new vinyl product!

(THE COVER YOU ‘RE LOOKING UPSTAIRS WAS MADE BY MYSELF AS “FANMADE”)
